The 700 sqft footprint of the café consists of the main café seating floor, a petite see-through roasting room, a storage space and an outdoor sitting terrace where the owners could also grow their own herbs and spices that can be used to concoct some of the drinks on the menu. Upon entering the café, one will be greeted by copious amount of soft natural light through the generous fenestration on two sides of the cafe and the tantalizing aroma of freshly ground coffee beans, coupled with intriguing background music of the owners’ choice. It definitely feels like a feast for the senses in this cosy little space.

The interior design of the café is kept simple. Soft colour palette, simple shapes and materials are used throughout the space, with a dash of pastel olive green covering 2/3 of the bottom part of the coffee bar complete with a white colour tile finish bar top redolent of a slice of the traditional Nyonya Kuih Talam. The only element in the space that lends a visual contrast to the otherwise simplistic design is the black and white floor tiles with intricate floral pattern. There isn’t a theme material selected deliberately to impart a cohesive look within the space of the café and the yoga studio next door, but rather the focus is more on achieving a balance among all the simple materials and how well they interplay with the abundance of daylight harnessed through the windows into the space, to imbue the café with warmth, character and style that radiate from the personalities of the owners.

It is the intention of the owner to create a small community café that makes everyone feel at ease stepping into this light-filled space that enables casual conversations to take place while sipping a cup of good coffee.
